An African bank uses UHF RFID for vault management

Background

Bank vault management plays a very important role in the bank's financial system. It requires accurate recording of the in and out of cash boxes and real-time inventory control. Manual operations in these steps sometimes lead to high error rates, low efficiency, and waste of manpower and material resources, which directly affect the quality of bank services. The client is an African bank, and after in-depth understanding, it decided to introduce RFID technology.

Solution

We proposed an effective solution based on UHF RFID, barcodes, fingerprint, and 4G, WIFI networks for the bank. Now bank staff can receive tasks on the V8 UHF RFID reader, and their identities can be verified through the fingerprint recognition function. The details of the cash box handover, such as when, where, who and how much, are accurately recorded. The V8 UHF RFID reader can also perform barcode scanning and RFID tag reading on these cash boxes. All scanning and reading results are synchronized to the server through a wireless network connection.

Effects

1. The identity of bank staff is verified to ensure the safety of the handover.

2. Bank vault management becomes automated, simple and efficient.

3. Administrators can view handover records, total vault banknotes, etc. in real time through the backend server.

4. The accuracy of vault inventory has been greatly improved, making it easier for administrators to implement appropriate vault management strategies in a timely manner.
