Checking the attendance of workers in Indonesian palm plantations

Background

Indonesia is the world's largest producer of palm oil. Due to the large scale of palm plantations and the large number of workers employed, traditional manual attendance management often leads to many problems, such as employees taking a long lunch break without clocking out, clocking in but never coming to work, or calling a friend to clock in for them.

Solution

We developed an intelligent attendance system for our customers, equipped with our V8 handheld terminal, which supports 2D barcode scanning and Fab fingerprint recognition. First, each employee's fingerprint is recorded and stored in the database. After the initial registration, each time the employee puts his finger on the scanner, the fingerprint is compared with the stored data. The unique fingerprint information completely eliminates the need for someone else to clock in. At the same time, employees' clocking in and out, lunch, breaks, overtime, holidays, and absences can be tracked.
