Background
There are too many assets and facilities that need to be inspected at the airport, from large machines to small equipment, from runways, taxiways to aprons, and the inspection work is very heavy. Manual asset tracking is prone to errors, and one mistake can bring great danger to the airport. It is difficult for inspectors to monitor dynamically, and potential risks may erupt at any time. Inspection data cannot be transmitted in real time. Once a fault is found, it cannot be repaired in time, affecting the normal operation of the airport.
Solution
All the objects that need to be inspected in the airport are affixed with RFID electronic tags. The V8 handheld terminal we deployed for customers has two-dimensional barcode scanning, camera, Wi-Fi and UHF RFID functions, which can identify and locate these inspection objects in a wide range of airports. Airport departments can improve asset availability, reduce the time to find misplaced items, optimize maintenance plans, and provide better passenger services. In addition, all data captured by the V8 handheld terminal can be updated to the database server in a timely manner.
Effect
1. Changed the equipment inspection mode of the airport, improved inspection efficiency and data availability. The V8 handheld terminal can quickly count and inspect the entire airport, identify misplaced items and maintain correct inventory.
2. The integrated UHF module supports long-distance and accurate scanning, making inspection work more convenient.
3. Dynamic monitoring of airport inspectors is realized. The security level is continuously improved.
