Background
The client is a prison in Southeast Asia, managing several hundred prisoners. It is difficult to track the location of prisoners and the location of tools in real time when they work outdoors. It often happens that tools are lost and prisoners are replaced. The inability to know the location of prisoners in real time leads to delays in emergency processing. Tools and assets are difficult to track. Lost tools and assets are difficult to retrieve. Manual asset inventory is time-consuming, inefficient, and inaccurate.
Solution
The client used our V8 handheld UHF RFID reader. All tools, assets, prisoner bracelets, shackles, and uniforms are first affixed with a unique UHF RFID tag, in which information such as tool name and number, prisoner name and number are written. This information is also recorded in the back-end system. All this information can be retrieved by scanning the tag with the V8 handheld UHF RFID reader. Newly added information can also be synchronized to the back-end system in real time. Administrators can monitor all prisoners and track all assets through the back-end system.
Effect
1. Realize real-time monitoring of prisoners and tool tracking, and daily management is more convenient and efficient.
2. Realize intelligent inventory of assets, greatly improve inventory efficiency, and save labor costs.
3. Real-time positioning of prisoners and tool assets is conducive to timely handling of emergencies and improving prison safety.
